How each one is worked out
EPF (KWSP)
Malaysian employees under 60 pay 11% of their wages. Employers pay 13% on wages up to RM5,000 and 12% above it. Amounts come from the Third Schedule of the EPF Act in RM20 bands, so they are whole ringgit. Overtime is not counted. From 60, Malaysians pay no EPF and their employers pay 4%. Foreign workers pay 2% and their employers 2%.

EIS
About 0.2% from the employee and 0.2% from the employer, on wages up to RM6,000. It applies from 18 until 60, and not to foreign workers.
